Shrine History

May 9, 2013: We broke ground on the spot where the St. Gianna Shrine would be built.
May, 4, 2014: The statue of St. Gianna was installed in the church and blessed by Bishop Daniel Conlon.
September 12, 2015: The statue was moved outside under the newly built gazebo.
February 20, 2024: The St. Gianna Shrine was declared an official Diocesan Shrine with the Diocese of Joliet by Bishop Ronald Hicks.
May 22, 2024: Bishop Ronald Hicks blessed the St. Gianna Shrine as an official shrine of the Diocese of Joliet. St. Gianna's daughter, Dr. Gianna Emanuela Molla, was also present.
